Local Spotlight
The Bourbon Salute

Since 2019, The Bourbon Salute has raised money for the 1st Sergeant’s Council at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita. Their goal is to help take care of the servicemembers working through the holiday season, providing them with funds to celebrate while away from their families. This event, which has sold out for this weekend, has since grown immensely, and they are now able to provide year-round financial support to the 1st Sergeant’s Council.

UPCOMING
Zoobilee

One of the best attractions in our city is, easily, the Sedgwick County Zoo. It’s one of those places that’s constantly being upgraded and the improvements aren’t stopping anytime soon. And that’s why events like Zoobilee are important.
Much of what you see when you stop by the zoo is made possible by the zoo’s signature fundraiser.
In past years, Zoobilee has brought in $800,000 – $1,000,000 which has been a big portion of the annual operating budget. So, attendees of the event have played a big role in making much of what you see at the zoo possible.
This year, Zoobilee takes place on September 7. Early bird tickets which can be purchased here are $175 per person.
If you’ve never been to Zoobilee, guests can indulge in delectable cuisine, sip on refreshing drinks, and groove to live music that will keep you dancing all night long. As you soak in the vibrant atmosphere, there’s also a silent auction, offering an array of unique items and experiences.
