Play & Party Co. opening next month

Parents need to keep their eyes peeled for Play & Party Co. 

The indoor playground for kids will have it all, reaching kids from multiple age ranges. A playtown, RC dig zone, glam room, gaming lounge, parent lounge... a place truly loaded for kids to let loose.

Play & Party Co. opening at 8981 W. Central Ave. inside the Westlink shopping center. Opening day will take place in June. Be on the lookout for more.

In 1934, at 8500 E Central, Wichita oil mogul John Vickers build what was one of the largest mansions in Kansas called Vickridge. The mansion had 12 bedrooms and nine baths.

In 1961, the estate became the new site for the Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School.

Kids Eat Free

The City of Wichita is hosting several Summer Food Program sites this summer where kids eat free.

Free breakfasts and lunches will be offered to all children 18 years old and younger at 33 locations as part of Wichita Public Schools‘ Summer Food Program, which runs now through Friday, July 25.

Burger Battle Coming Soon

Join us on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, for a day filled with delicious burgers, fun activities, and friendly competition—all for a great cause!

Restaurants from all over the area will come together to battle it out for the People’s Choice champion title and the Judge’s Choice champion title. Come sample all the mouth-watering presentations of the day and help us decide who makes the best burger in the area. Proceeds will benefit KETCH and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
