Best Pupusas in Wichita
Where are the best pupusas in Wichita? After all, it’s National Pupusa Day!
It’s one of the unique dishes in town that deserves all the love. The national dish of El Salvador is a thick, griddled corn cake stuffed with items like beans, chicharron, pork, cheese, etc. Then you top it with some curtido, which is a fermented, tart Salvadoran cabbage slaw and sauce, whether it be mild or spicy.
Here’s the big list of where you can get your hands on this delicious treat.

COMING
Wichita By E.B. Dinner Series XV

It’s time to unveil the final Wichita By E.B. Dinner Series of the year. We are running it back with another Christmas Party at Station 8 BBQ featuring One Life Spirits.
We’re talking ugly sweaters, Christmas music, some Wichita By E.B. holiday merch, delicious drinks and BBQ.
This year, though, will have a special little spin on it. Keep reading….
So what exactly is the Wichita By E.B. Dinner Series?
This dinner series is a limited ticketed dinner event where diners enjoy a meal prepared by the owners and chefs and don’t get a say in anything. We come in and enjoy a blind course. Having an open mind and appetite always helps (also if you have food allergies, this probably isn’t recommended). This is a cool, personal, intimate time when we connect on food, have good conversation, share some drinks, talk to the owners, and just have a good time.
What are the deets?
Dinner Series XV will take place, Wednesday, Dec. 17 on an evening when Station 8 BBQ is typically closed.
The cost of the dinner series
Only 60 tickets will be available at $100 + tax.
On top of that, Station 8 BBQ is typically closed on Wednesday night and they’ve agreed to open on their day off so I want to make sure the staff is compensated appropriately. I just want to make sure everyone has a good time and the staff feels like it was worth their time.
What else to expect
What does the $100 get you?
For starters, the cost of the ticket gets you a meal from Station 8 BBQ, where owner Alex Eftekhar has been tasked with coming up with a delicious menu of BBQ. Drinks will also be provided courtesy of One Life Spirits; non-alcoholic beverages such as Cheerwine will also be available. Musical entertainment courtesy of DJ Carbon.
Each ticket holder will also receive a Wichita By E.B. hoodie.
I love raffles, so you can expect raffles as well!
The Wichita By E.B. Dinner Series will be more than just a dinner, it’ll be an experience. You will come, make new friends, have a little Q&A with myself and the owner, enjoy some delicious food, perhaps take a shot of tequila or two, be around other foodies and have a cool night to talk about.
It doesn’t end there. This is the season of giving.
What’s else will my ticket go to?
This year’s dinner will be in honor of my mother, and we will be using proceeds from the dinner to raise at least $1,000 for Fresh Hope.
The organization seeks to empower single women who are struggling to make change in their lives to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their goals. This may include challenges related to their health, career, relationships, personal growth, and overall well-being. It is designed for women who are seeking a fresh start and are ready to work harder than they have ever worked – but need some help getting started.
How can someone purchase tickets?
A link to purchase tickets will be released in our dropping on Monday, November 17. Once the tickets sell out, they’re gone. If they don’t sell out in the first hour, a link will be shared on our social pages.
