NOW OPEN
One of my new favorite tacos in Wichita

On a random drive down west 21st street, I came across a new-ish taco stand at 128 W. 21st Street called Taqueria Los Pinches Tacos.

This corner may be familiar to many people as it’s also home to El Pollo Dorado, but that place closes in the late afternoon leaving a spot for someone to serve tacos in the evening.

That’s where Los Pinches comes in. They are open everyday after 7 p.m. and stays open until Midnight, except for the weekends when its 3 a.m.

Seriously, one of my new favorite tacos in town. I had the al pastor and tripas and wow…. that’s it…. wow.

Local Spirits and Dinner at The Rusty Nail

The Rusty Nail, located at 1155 S. Washington Ave, is having a a special dinner event this Sunday on August 24 at 6 p.m.

The menu can be found above, but this special event is $50 per person and includes multiple courses, each paired with a cocktail.

The next Jersey Mike’s Subs location is just months away from opening. It’s set for the new Cooper Ridge shopping center at 217 S. Ridge Road which is near the corner of Maple and Ridge Road, north of Outback Steakhouse.

Every now and then, I’m looking to add something a bit healthier to my dining rotation. That’s when I visit Doc Green’s.

There are three locations in town

• 10096 E. 13th St. N. (Waterfront)

• 410 N. Hillside (College Hill)

• 2441 N. Maize Road (New Market Square)

My home location is the New Market Square and my go to salad is typically their Dr. Caesar with steak. And I typically pair that with one of their pressed juices.

The meal hits the spot every single time.
