COMING SOON
Parlour Doughnuts

7010 W. 21st St.

Last year, Hurts Donut closed after many years in business. Just months later, Parlor Doughnuts announced plans to open in Wichita. It seemed only a matter of time before they would take over the Hurts Donut location at 7010 W. 21st St.—which they confirmed in December.

This will be the company's first location in Kansas who started in 2019 in Evansville, IN. The doughnut shop has over 100 locations in 19 states and Kansas is next on the list.

Originally, the franchise hoped for a May opening, but I've been told the latest update pins the grand opening in August. At least that is what they are aiming for. As always, things are subject to change.

Parlor Doughnuts is known for their layered doughnuts which many people refer to as cronuts. They also have a vast selection of flavors, including French toast, maple bacon, cookies 'n cream, churro, strawberry shortcake and many more. Along with the layer doughnuts, you can find gourmet coffee drinks, breakfast items including vegan and gluten-friendly, and even treats for your furry friends.

WEEKLY MINI FEATURE
Carnitas Morelia

3088 W. 13th St. N.

Who should we feature in next week’s mini-feature? Readers decide who we promote for free in the newsletter

This week’s Mini-Feature was suggested by Gabriel Acosta.

Looking for delicious carnitas? Head over to 3088 W. 13th St. N. for Carnitas Morelia.

With a name like that, you would hope they can excel at carnitas and they certainly do.

The restaurant has been open since April of last year and already received rave reviews from many local diners and food bloggers.

It's all carnitas. Whether it's a taco, burrito or even a whole order of carnitas, this is one of the best places to get your fix.

It’s also a current ICT 100 Restaurant.
