NEW FAVORITE
C’s Place

Who remembers the old Cedar at 3906 E. 13th St? It was a common post stop class stop during my days at Wichita State… or even during class when I decided to skip class. It’s been roughly 20 years since I last stepped foot inside the space. But someone made me aware that over the past year, the space is now C’s Place.

On Sundays, the bar, and restaurant offers a soul food menu that draws in a large crowd. Pickup for the food is at the back of the building.

I found some excellent oxtails and meatloaf. Something I would certainly go back for. This has become an immediate favorite of mine.

NOW OPEN
N&J Mediterranean Bar & Grill

It’s a beautiful day for the city of Wichita. N&J Mediterranean Bar & Grill has finally opened a second location.

The restaurant who has their 34-year-old flagship store at 5600 E. Lincoln did something many people would have never thought would happen. Open a second spot in west Wichita.

N&J Mediterranean Bar & Grill took over the original home of The Sweet Spot at 8448 W. Central and is ready for business.

Angelo’s Italian Restaurant

This week’s Mini-Feature was suggested by Jeff Miller.

When it comes to Italian food, one of the popular mainstays is Angelo’s Italian Restaurant.

Located at 5231 E. Central, this place has it all. If you want pizza, lasagna, manicotti, submarines, salads or anything else, Angelo’s has you covered. My two personal favorites here include the manicotti or the pizza.

Honestly, it’s been a couple of years since I’ve been by but thanks to Jeff’s suggestion, I have been influenced to return!

OPENING SOON
KVH Chophouse

It’s time to get excited especially if you’re in northwest Wichita. The long awaited restaurant, KVH Chophouse, now has a grand opening date.

What is expected to be one of the higher end fine dining restaurants in Wichita has set a grand opening date for Monday, July 14.

Chicken came hot and heavy this past week in Wichita. The most recent opening came way of Golden Chick who specializes in chicken sandwiches, tenders, wings and even freshly made rolls.
