The Eddytorial Dining Digest: 4/6/26
Welcome to the Monday dining digest of the Eddytorial. A weekly newsletter completely dedicated to the local dining scene.

Happy Dining Wichita!
Who’s ready to grub this week?
In today’s email:
Closing: Soly & Jude’s
Next Week: Cashmob #4
Now Open: Tokizo Japanese Restaurant
Most Liked: Busters vs. Station 8
CLOSING
Solly & Jude’s
The end of the road is coming soon for Solly & Jude’s.
The sandwich shop at 400 S. Emporia opened in 2023. Hopes were high given the proximity to Intrust Bank Arena and the food was fantastic. Even being featured on my local food bloggers pages and two appearances on the ICT 100 list in 2024 and 2025.
Sandwiches, cocktails, hot dogs, an extensive menu of tots all filled the menu and impressed many foodies along with the beer and cocktails.
No official closing date for Solly & Jude’s, but it will take place in April. No official date has been set but it’s coming soon.
NEXT WEEK
Cash Mob #4 at CJ’s Sports Bar & Grill

For the next Wichita By E.B. Cashmob, I'm excited to announce, we are headed to pack CJ’s Sports Bar and Grill on Monday, April 13 from 4-6pm.
This locally owned, woman-owned establishment opened at 6305 E. Harry St. in the former Annex Lounge space.
We are partnering with One Life Spirits, Una Vida Tequila, LDF Companies and maybe some other surprises to introduce people to something new, support local, and support someone who spent years in the industry before branching out on her own.
The point of the cashmob is simple. Flood a business with support and show some Wichita love.
I’ll be buying the first 100 wings that everyone is welcome to. The first 50 drinks will be covered. After all, it’s best to lead by example when asking people to support a cashmob.
Hope to see you all there!

NOW OPEN
Tokizo Japanese Restaurant
One of Wichita’s newest Japanese restaurants, Tokizo, recently opened at 5231 E. Central.
Some people may know the space as one of the locations of Angelo’s Italian Restaurant when they reopened in a small strip center near Central and Edgemoor.
Tokizo has a limited menu featuring a few udon noodle soup dishes, a couple onigiri choices, and six sushi options. There’s also a combination menu that pairs an udon dish with either onigiri or sushi.
