Would you get iced tea from here?

This was a pictured I shared on Facebook.

Over the weekend, we stopped by a particular restaurant in town and came across possibly the nastiest iced tea spout. It looked like something out of a 1950s fraternity house horror movie.

My friends and I opted to get another drink still concerned of how clean everything was.

We would inform the staff that it probably needed to be cleaned. One employee saw it, and you would think she walked in on her parents in bed with the look of disgust on her face.

A person, who I believed to be the manager, would later walk buy and put a plastic bag over it.

So what restaurant was it? I’ll let you take a guess first.

WEEKLY MINI FEATURE
Mediterranean Grill

This week’s Mini-Feature was suggested by Donna Magee.

There’s a plethora of excellent options when it comes to Mediterranean food in town. One that I believe gets overlooked is Mediterranean Grill at 335 S Towne East Mall Dr., right across from Scheels on the other side of the street.

The restaurant has been in Wichita for around 18 years and often gets lots in the shuffle in a city full of Middle Eastern, Lebanese, and Mediterranean cuisine.

But please do not forget about this classic in east Wichita.

You can find some great dishes here including hummus, shawarma, lamb shanks, pasta and more.

I, for one, also forget about this place, and thanks to Donna for putting this on my radar. This is now one of the next places I’ll be going to soon.

Hours are Monday through Saturday 11am to 9pm and closed on Sunday.

EVENT
Final Friday Downtown Food & Booze Truck Rally

It’s been a while since there’s been a good ol’ food truck rally at the Wichita Boathouse.

One of the biggest rallies returns this Friday, March 28 to the boathouse from 5pm to 9:30 pm. The event is free for all ages.

There’s live music from 6pm to 9pm with DJ D Reed. Local artists and small business vendors and you can’t forget about the food trucks.
