OPENINGS
Pastas Express to reopen this week

For weeks, people continued to ask the whereabouts of Pasta Express.

The restaurant suddenly closed and people feared the fast casual Italian restaurant at 4100 E. Harry St. closed. That was not the case.

Instead of posting the message on their socials, the owners shared a note on their Google business listing that they were temporarily closed because of a family emergency from February 27 to March 16 due to a family emergency.

As it stands now, Pasta Express should reopen Tuesday, March 18 when hours will be Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

They’ve been closed for some time, so I’m sure they would love the business.

And if you go, I highly recommend the chicken teriyaki dish. Some of you may remember this being on the buffet line at Sweet Basil.

Boudreux Burger Barn

This week’s Mini-Feature was suggested by Suzette Bosley.

If you make the short drive south of Haysville, KS on Meridian Road, you will come across Boudreux Burger Barn in Peck, KS.

This is a popular destination for burger aficionados who like small road trips to get some good food.

You get small town vibes in a casual log cabin; all with burgers, hand-cut fries, chicken strips, chicken-fried steak and more.

But you cannot leave without ordering their homemade ice cream.

Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am to 7pm. Closed on Sunday and Monday.
