FEATURE STORY
Most Liked Wings in Wichita?

Every so often, I like to run a fun little tournament online to determine the popular vote for what everyone’s favorite pizza, burger, coffee, or even restaurant is. It’s time to bring back the Wichita’s Most Liked series. This go around, we are trying to find everyone’s most like wings in the city!

Every day on our Facebook page, we will be posting polls for people to vote for their favorite in each matchup. You can also find the polls in our newsletter.

With that, it’s time to bring our next matchup for you to vote on Wichita’s Most Liked Wing Tournament brought to you by The Insurance Guys.

Which wings do you want to advance to the next round?

Polls closes in 48 hours (Wednesday at 6am)

WEEKLY MINI FEATURE
Argentina’s Empanadas

1113 E. Douglas Ave.

This week’s Mini-Feature was suggested by Stuart Countryman.

For five years, Argentina’s Empanadas has been in business in some capacity. Whether it was a home-based operation, a food truck, renting out a commercial kitchen space, they’ve been putting in the work to get their empanadas out to the public. Many of you probably saw them when they competed on Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race where they finished third.

Recently as covered here, they finally opened their first brick & mortar space in College Hill at 1113 E. Douglas Ave.

It’s a cute, quaint space that’s most optimal for carry out orders. As you walk inside, there’s a case of the empanadas that are available. More can be made on the spot, but there may be a little wait for it.

Such empanada flavors include cubano, sweet & salty beef, gaucho corn, spinach artichoke chicken, sloppy jose and more.

You won’t find anything like it in town.

Hours are Monday through Saturday 11am to 7pm and Sunday: 11am to 6pm.

Who should we feature in next week’s mini-feature? Readers decide who we promote for free in the newsletter

HIGHLIGHT
Our Guide To Chinese Buffets

It seems like the era of Chinese buffets is not what it used to be in Wichita. Numerous options have closed over the last 10-20 years.

If Chinese buffets are your guilty pleasures though, there are still a handful left in town.

We’ve put together a full guide of what’s still around and even what’s coming.
