Social Tap Drinkery in Andover

Andover’s Heritage Square is about to get a big addition with the arrival of Social Tap Drinkery.

The taproom and restaurant, which appeared again on this year’s ICT 100: Wichita’s Best Restaurant list, is expanding to Andover when they open this Saturday, November 22, at 11 a.m.

ZAAKI: Arabic Cuisine

If you all want a real rare treat for dinner on a Friday evening, I encourage everyone to visit the Shared Kitchen co-op space at 926 W. Harry.

There, you’ll find one food vendor who deserves plenty of love for bringing something unique to Wichita. It’s ZAAKI, a local popup serving Arabic dishes.

For the time being, you can find ZAAKI serving at the Shared Kitchen commercial kitchen space on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. That can always change, so I encourage everyone to follow them on Facebook.

Wichita By E.B. Christmas Party

It’s back. The Wichita By E.B. Dinner Series. Our 15th edition will celebrate the season of giving for our annual Christmas party.

Mark your calendars for December 17.

Once again the dinner will take place at Station 8 BBQ. DJ Carbon will be there playing Christmas tunes and our friends at One Life Spirits will be a part of the festivities.

This year’s dinner will be in honor of my mother and we will be using proceeds from the dinner to raise at least $1,000 for Fresh Hope,

The organization seeks to empower single women who are struggling to make change in their lives to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their goals. This may include challenges related to their health, career, relationships, personal growth, and overall well-being.

It is designed for women who are seeking a fresh start and are ready to work harder than they have ever worked – but need some help getting started.

Tickets are now available and will sell out by EOD.

Meatloaf Madness at First Mile Kitchen to benefit the three local charities

Free meatloaf?!?!

That’s exactly what First Mile Kitchen is doing for the community.

The restaurant located at 2141 N. Bradley Fair Parkway has brought back Meatloaf Madness. And the goal of this event, which runs through the holidays, is to give back to the community.

When you stop by First Mile Kitchen at Bradley Fair and purchase a meatloaf or even pre-order one, the restaurant will give one meatloaf to one of their partner organizations: HealthCore Clinic, Kansas Food Bank, and Wichita Family Crisis Center.
