NOW OPEN
KPot has a second Wichita location

2243 N. Tyler Road

A year ago this month, Wichita was introduced to KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot when it opened inside Towne East Square.

Now the city gets a second location following the grand opening of the west side store at 2243 N. Tyler Road.

RUMOR MILL
Johnny’s Tavern Coming To Wichita?

In July of 2025, the former Anchor restaurant space at 1109 E. Douglas sold for $1.9 million at an auction. It was the unfortunate end to a bar that was once a staple of Wichita.

After the sale, questions arose as to what would come out of it. The Anchor made for a great turnkey operation, especially since it recently went through an interior renovation.

Please don’t take this as fact, as it’s simply a trusted source passing me along information. But I’m being told that Johnny’s Tavern will eventually take over The Anchor space and hopes to be open by early next year in time for March Madness.

CRIMESTOPPERS
Kelly’s Family Diner

Anybody recognize this man?

This lowlife for lack of a better word, broke through the back door of Kelly’s Family Diner at 1825 S. Broadway and did some major thieving at the restaurant over the weekend.

If you know this guy, please call Kelly’s Family Diner at 316-519-8325.

This is a restaurant that already has to deal with enough issues, like trying to run a restaurant, and this was the last thing a small business needed.

If you don’t but still want to help, perhaps go swing by Kelly’s Family Diner for breakfast or lunch. The owner is a wonderful person and a place you really want to see succeed.

Here’s a video of the thief as well:
