The Eddytorial Dining Digest: 1/12/26
Welcome to the Monday dining digest of the Eddytorial. A weekly newsletter completely dedicated to the local dining scene.

Happy Dining Wichita!
Who’s ready to grub this week?
In today’s email:
Closed: Lima Nation
Vote: Wichita’s Most Liked Restaurant
Coming Soon: Mexican Burritos
Guide: Dining By The Alphabet 2026
CLOSED
Lima Nation Peruvian Restaurant
It was two years ago today that I first visited Lima Nation when it opened to the public in January 2024 at 2146 N. Collective Lane in the former Lola’s Bistro space.
And now two years later, Lima Nation announced its closure to the public on Facebook.
This is a tough blow to our local food scene. Lima Nation served quality Peruvian dishes and with that, the city is left with one Peruvian restaurant in town, Gabby’s at 1002 S. Seneca.
COMING SOON
Mexican Burritos
It’s been a little over a year since Sticky Bird Addiction Chicken closed at 616 S. Tyler Road. And now signage is up for Mexican Burritos who will take over the space.
GUIDE
Dining By The Alphabet

Over fourteen years ago, this blog started out as a “Dining by the Alphabet” adventure. We’d start with a restaurant that began with the Letter A, then B and so on. It was a fun way to explore new restaurants, many that I had never heard of in my early days of blogging.
Over the years, I’ve seen others try the same dining adventure. It makes for a fun couple’s journey, something to do with friends, family, anybody.
I created this handy little one-pager with some suggestions. Of course, I had to take some liberties to make this work, but it’s all for fun.

LOCAL SPOTLIGHT
The Grinder Man
The Grinder Man has been a staple of Wichita since 1970.
Years ago, Grinderman used to serve Wichita on West Street. Some people may even remember it around Harry & Oliver.
Nowadays, you can find the classic sandwich shop at 510 E. Pawnee.

GUIDE
How to Eat Around the World in Wichita
Wichita is deeply rooted with many unique cultures. Through the years, the city has been a cultural hub that fused traditions and flavors. The diversity has made international dining a popular part of our local food scene. Let’s cover how to eat around the world in Wichita.
Nearly 400 restaurants, food trucks and other food vendors in the area account for the eclectic international offerings we are fortunate to have. The beauty of it is, they all have their own style, recipes, fusions and takes on dishes that create opportunities for us to try something we may have never had before. Whether you consider them “authentic” or close enough to what you’d find in a native country, that’s for you to decide. What I do know is our food scene is incredibly diverse, reflecting a modern-day population of people who want to share their culture and love of food.
Here’s where to go to try international cuisine via a food truck, nice sit down restaurant, a quick-service style set up and more all in Wichita.
