Wichita’s first half of 2025 saw a slew of new restaurants that either arrived in Wichita for the first time, expanded their current location, or even rebranded a prior store. Mix in some food trucks, and it’s safe to say there are a lot of different eateries to try if you’re behind on your foodie journey around town.

Kansas Honor Flight

There’s a big benefit for the Kansas Honor Flight on Saturday at Twister City - Harley Davidson. (more)

But what exactly is the Kansas Honor Flight?

It’s is an all-volunteer organization that works to honor Kansas veterans of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War by providing them with an ALL EXPENSES PAID JOURNEY of honor and remembrance to visit their memorials in Washington, D.C.

The organization also works to educate the youth and communities throughout Kansas about the impact of these historic wars and the freedoms our nation enjoys because of the service of our veterans. KHF is part of the National Honor Flight Network, an organization comprised of over 130 hubs dedicated to serving our veterans.
