FEATURE STORY
So Close To Winning It All On The Voice

Derby, KS’ own Jaelen Johnston represented his city well with a near perfect run on NBC’s The Voice.

Johnston was the runner-up after the two-night season finale.

The winner of the grand prize was Adam David. But it’s still a tremendous finish for Johnston.

Don’t forget, you can also catch Jaelen Johnston perform live at the Wichita Riverfest on June 7 from 7:30pm to 9pm.

A valedictorian at Bishop Carroll recently went viral in Wichita for an issue over his speech during his high school graduation.

After failing to comply with the rules set forth and using an unapproved speech, the school has asked recent grad Austin Tran to return his medal and recognition.

You can see the original Facebook post shared here by Austin’s mother Ann.
