COMMUNITY
Local Teacher Giveaway
Over the last month, I asked the community to nominate teachers who are doing awesome work in the classroom and deserve a little break with their students.
The prize? An all-expenses paid field trip to the Kansas Aviation Museum.
After hundreds of nominations, thanks to you, we have our two winners.
Breanna Cox, a fourth grade teacher at Lawrence Elementary
Lisa Reeb, a kindergarten teacher at Colvin Elementary
Both teachers and the school principals have been contacted and accepted this prize. We’ll have more to come when the classrooms take their field trips.
Also stay tuned for our next round of giveaways for local teachers to end the school year.

LOCAL
Midtopia Studio Relaunched
In what is big news for the local music scene, Midtopia Studio has announced its intention to relaunch as a fully public, world-class recording and media production facility under new ownership by Angelo Rodruquez and Jessie & Adam Hartke.
Originally established as Brickhouse Studios and later known as Magnitude Creative, the facility has long been part of Wichita’s creative infrastructure.
Today, Midtopia Studio emerges with a renewed mission: to be a dynamic hub where professional-grade sound, creative ambition, and community access intersect.

COMING SOON
Adventure Playscape at Exploration Place
March 13 marks a big day for the future of Exploration Place when they open the Adventure Playscape.
It’s the new 6.5-acre expansion of Expansion Place that opens up a whole new level of fun for what I consider the state’s best science center.
The Adventure Playscape is located on the west bank of the Arkansas River immediately southeast of Exploration Place.
I had a chance to do a tour and test run of it with my family and there’s a lot to behold with the 10 themed experiences that comprise the Adventure Playscape.
