COMING SOON
Somewhere in Winter

Building on the momentum of this year’s transformative Somewhere Festival & Conference, Movement Musick today announced the debut of Somewhere in Winter – Wichita’s first-ever downtown holiday festival centered around an outdoor, full-scale, brought-in real ice rink and a curated lineup of family-friendly, festive experiences.

Located at 250 N. St. Francis Ave, Somewhere in Winter will take place November 27 through January 4. It will transform the heart of the city into a vibrant seasonal destination – bringing together local vendors, food trucks, music, cocoa and s’mores stations, festive photo ops, and holiday programming designed to connect Wichita residents through shared joy, creativity, and community spirit.

Sticking with the same home insurance could cost you

Home insurance costs are rising fast, up nearly 40% nationwide in just the past few years. With premiums changing constantly, sticking with the same provider could mean overpaying by hundreds of dollars. Shopping around and comparing multiple insurers can help lock in better rates without losing the protection your home needs. Check out Money’s home insurance tool to shop around and see if you can save.

RETURNING IN 2026
Somewhere Fest 2026

The city’s hottest music festival, Somewhere Festival & Conference, won’t be as hot in 2026… referring to the weather. Dates have officially been announced for next year as the festival takes place September 25-26.

This will be the third year as Somewhere Festival has quickly emerged as one of the region’s most vital platforms for creativity, connection, and cultural impact.

31st Annual Wichita’s Alternative Gift Market

Change how you gift and change the world! This market is an uplifting alternative to the commercial norm—a different kind of shopping experience. It features charitable gifts starting at only $1.00; admission is free at this family-friendly event for all ages.

Act locally, impact globally! Alternative gifts support Wichita families in poverty, stock American food pantries, provide educational resources to kids in low-income countries, get farm supplies to our global neighbors facing hunger, and more. Sponsor tax-deductible gifts in honor of your loved ones and receive complimentary greeting cards and ornaments representing the causes (these freebies are exclusive to the market).

This community-wide event is hosted by dozens of local groups on the second Saturday of each November. We are pleased that Hillside CC will be our host location once again for 2025—a milestone year!

We can't wait to see you there!
