Biggest news of the week? Dick’s pull out game is strong with Towne West Square. The largest retailer for the west side mall is on the way out.

In today’s email:

  • N&J times 2: One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in all of Wichita is finally opening a second location

  • Lunar New Year: Where to celebrate the Lunar New Year

  • Cirque du Soleil Ticket Winner: Who won the tickets to OVO?

FEATURE STORY
Wichita Gets a Second N&J Cafe

Who would have thought this day would come? N&J Cafe, confirmed the news this week that a second location was on the way.

This has been in talks for some time and the owners finally went public with the news that N&J Cafe is expanding and taking over the former Sweet Spot space at 8448 W. Central Ave.

As some of you know, The Sweet Spot vacated their former location to take over the old Doma space at 7703 E. Douglas.

This is BIG news for west siders who are already low on Mediterranean and Middle Eastern options following the closure of Le Monde Cafe.

On a 1-5 scale, how excited are you?

Dick’s Pulls Out of Towne West

In one of the biggest blows to Towne West, Dick’s Sporting Goods will be moving out of Towne West on March 1.

While no official word was given, I’ve heard the lease is ending. This isn’t an Evergy issue as Dick’s Sporting Goods had their own account and didn’t have to deal with the power outage issues. But those who didn’t know that probably assumed Dick’s didn’t have power either.

West siders have about a month left to enjoy Dick’s before having to get their sporting goods elsewhere.

In other news, be on the lookout for the new Wichita By E.B. stickers inspired by Towne West.

Would you display a Marked Safe from Towne West Power Outage sticker at your business?
